The Jacob Burns Film Center, north of New York City is a growing hub for cinema education and media literacy giving a platform to emerging filmmakers within its Creative Culture Fellowship program.
Graduate-level students are mentored in developing their storytelling skills as they produce two film projects during their time at Creative Culture. The program and its sponsors have invested in furthering the careers of 22 promising filmmakers.
The week of the 2019 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, we stopped by to chat with Sean Weiner, the Director of Creative Culture —the key mentor for the fellows— and three of the young filmmakers in the program: Jalena Keane-Lee, Moira Fett and Maya Cueva about the development of their projects and their skill sharing experiences at the Burns Media Center.
