Have you ever heard of Trauma-Informed Yoga or Trauma-Sensitive Yoga? This new field of study is so fascinating to me. I not only have fully embraced learning about this discipline in the yoga and psychology fields but also am a survivor of Post-Traumatic Stress and scored quite high on the psychological charts for this disorder a few years ago. I have since, been working diligently to heal myself through many forms, yoga being one of them. I am a proponent of a home practice in part because I understand the need for a private, safe practice. I hope this episode adds value to you and gives you insight on Trauma as a whole, as most of us have experienced traumatic experiences on some level and also on this form of yoga.
