Dr. Jain is an Adjunct Clinical Affiliate for the School of Nursing at The University of Texas, Austin, Texas. Her research explores the connection between wellness and its anti-inflammatory effects, as well as improvement in disease and wellness markers. Dr. Jain is a co-founder of WILD 5 Wellness, a wellness intervention that combines five elements of wellness (exercise, mindfulness, sleep, social connectedness, and nutrition) into a prescriptive, easy-to-follow program.
Today, Dr. Jain talks about the science behind wellness, why wellness is important, and shares the powerful impact of meditating for just 5 minutes a day. Dr. Jain also beautifully reminds us to be kind to ourselves and that perfection is not the goal.
