In episode 100, we celebrate the 100th episode by sitting with the guy who first asked me, "Where did you see God?", Rob Prestowitz. For the last 25 years, Rob has been providing leadership for UrbanPromise Wilmington, which seeks to be "a community in Christ of servant leadership and transformation, seeking a full life for all involved: urban youth, families, volunteers, and staff in the neighborhoods of our city." My 2+ years there showed me what it could look like to authentically take bold steps of faith, and to genuinely love your neighbor, and it has shaped much of who I am and what I do today.
I initially planned to talk about "how to heal a community", but out the gate Rob presses in on the all-to-common missteps in our efforts to "heal" communities. He offers a beautiful alternative to our tendency to "fix problems": long-faithfulness, hope for full life, and sacrificial love.
How is God inviting you to love the community around you?

If you are a young adult, I highly highly highly recommend exploring their summer and yearlong internship opportunities. I'm not exaggerating when I say my 2+ years there transformed the trajectory of my life.
