First thread any harm has befallen a “fellow journalist.” Talks about the insurance industry and not being able to use this money if he were to pass, so he begins the process of trying to find someone to be his apprentice to take over Brian’s search. Brian calls a company inquiring about their life insurance policies, who mistakenly calls him Ryan and not Brian. Brian explains how Lazarus died and in case it happens to him, he wants to know if his life insurance policy can be handed down to the next investigator in this line of questioning. Asks if the company insures undercover journalists. Brian says he is looking for a small amount of 2 or 3 million dollars. Wants to make sure they do not insure any major fast food companies. The women says they only insure Chick Fil A. Brian asks if they have ever served pizza. The woman recommends Brian try it. Woman says there are rumours that Chick Fil A puts pickle juice in their flour. Brian's pen falls. The woman asks if Brian is from North Carolina, to which Brian says he is in California and wants to get life insurance as far away as possible. Woman says has heard rumors about McDonalds including that they use horse meat. Brings up that a movie was released and says a guy left his McDonalds cheeseburger up on the dashboard and it never got old. Brian says he does not have a refrigerator. Woman says he is so interesting. She asks if she will be releasing some information. Brian tells her candidly about Lazarus dying in his search for McDonalds pizza. She says she will look into some things and give him a call back. Brian then calls Chick Fil A and asks if they use pickle juice in the flour. Kitchen staff member says they do not. Brian claims that is one mystery solved.
