“The Number One Healer"
Early on in my healing I discovered that in order to heal, I had to find a path to gratitude. True metaphysicians discovered through investigation and experience that gratitude for what they have (because we don’t know if what we have is “good’ or “bad”) leads to great healings and increases the obvious Good in both consciousness and in the physical.
There is a reason why we ought to be saying grace at the table. We must acknowledge the Bigness of Consciousness that creates the food we are about to eat. We must also acknowledge our authority over it. Here is the meal blessing that Rev. Carlos Anderson shared with us:
From Rev. Carlos, "Food is neutral, waiting for you to tell it what it is and what it is going to do for you. This is how I was taught to bless my food”:
I authorize you to completely please my taste buds. I authorize you to bring health and vitality to my body. I authorize you to provide me with all of the vitamins, nutrients, minerals that will increase my life force, to bring me a greater sense of aliveness. I authorize you to support me in having my body be as fit and in the condition and in the shape that I would like it to be. I give you no authority to do anything but this. Thank you.
That is a powerful prayer for many reasons. We are not subservient beings hoping that a loving God will forgive us for “pigging out”. We are calling up our own super-consciousness to eat consciously and to eat with gratitude and joy. It is also calling up the support and cooperation of the Universe to join with your highest mind in a way that you can recognize it. And, it is allowing yourself to enjoy your meal.
I encourage all of us to look at this prayer and see where it can be modified to apply to many events in our lives. Let’s take charge and live both confidently and gratefully. Yea!
Let’s affirm together, “The Superconscious Mind is awake in me now!”
