"Release All That Is No Longer Serving You"

a talk by Theresa Crisci

Below is the weekly minister's message bty Rev. Shawn:

"The Difference Between Reality and Unreality”

Here is the metaphysical definition of Reality: That which is abiding, unchanging, eternal, the same yesterday, today and forever. The basic principles of mathematics and music are real, because they are not subject to change. A wrong application of their principles may produce discord, but the principles are not disturbed. There is but one harmonious Principle underlying all being and we call that unchanging Principle, God. All causes are in mind. Error thoughts produce the mental and physical inharmonies called disease. These effects are not enduring and eternal. Error can be erased from the mind and be made to disappear from the body.

Therefore, unreality is that which can be changed. Unreality has a lot of seeming power, but all of it is temporary and will quickly disappear when we take on the “real” thought. Unreality ought not be given much credence. Don’t look at it for too long or too intensely. You might begin to believe it and make it your habit thought.

Seek to think the thoughts you most want to be thinking. Never convince yourself that you have to be thinking unreal thoughts. Remind yourself of what is real. Reality will not change. You and I both know from experience that most of what we focus on changes frequently. I like to remind everyone, “God never changes even though my understanding of God does change…and changes frequently.”

Grateful For Reality and my willingness to keep looking at it,

Rev. Shawn
