Every week, librarians Rob and Michelle give listeners their recommendations on the latest books, movies and other materials to check out at their local library. Many of the recommendations are available to stream with Hoopla.

37 - Two books and a movie

This week, Michelle and Rob discuss two new nonfiction titles they enjoyed, and discuss a movie. Michelle read "Veritas: a Harvard professor, a con man, and the Gospel of Jesus's Wife" by Ariel Sabar - a nonfiction about a possibly forged piece of papyrus and the man who probably created it that read like an Indiana Jones movie. Rob read "EC Comics: race, shock, and social protest" by Quiana Whitted - a nonfiction about the social messages found in EC Comics in the 1950's. Then, they discuss Wonder Woman: 1984, the good, the bad and the too much of it all.

Media mentioned in this episode:

EC Comics: race, shock, and social protest by Quiana Whitted

Vertias: a harvard professor, a con man, and the Gospel of Jesus's Wife by Ariel Sabar

Wonder Woman: 1984
