Looking at unforgiveness through God's eyes, makes it so clear. When did God forgive us?
Romans chapter 5 verse 8 (AMPC) - 8 But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us.
So we see that God's love for us causes him to forgive. Thus, we be conformed to the image of Christ in Romans 8:29.
As imitators of the love God had for his neighbor, us, we too are called to love and forgive sinners in their sin. Luke 6:35 shows this - 35 But love your enemies and be kind and do good [doing favors so that someone derives benefit from them] and lend, expecting and hoping for nothing in return but considering nothing as lost and despairing of no one; and then your recompense (your reward) will be great (rich, strong, intense, and abundant), and you will be sons of the Most High, for He is kind and charitable and good to the ungrateful and the selfish and wicked. God shows us the application of 1 Corinthians 13 (the definition of Love) in His character and heart posture.
This program covers the following Scriptures from the Amplified Classic version (AMPC): Deuteronomy 32:35; Romans 14:17; John 3:16; Romans 5:8; Matthew 6:14; John 8:1-11; Proverbs 23:7; Matthew 5:28; Luke 6:35; 1 Corinthians 13.
