Didn't mean to sound all serious and stuff (c'mon, you know us better than that) but Jeff does make some great points on this week's show about practicing.
You know how you get to the driving range and you work on a few things you're having a bit a trouble with and you think you've got it all figured out then you hit the course and everything just goes to hell in a handbasket? Yeah, that happens to us all the time.
Well here's what Jeff thinks can help us all through those frustrating times.
Practice on the course. You don't always have to play for score just because you paid the greens fees, right? If you're having problems with your wedges, hit a few different balls when you get up around the green. If it's long irons giving you trouble, hit more than one. If you want to work on getting out of the trees after your drive (now how many strokes would it save me if I could learn how to do that correctly???) put a few balls down inside the tree line and work on the right shots to get out.
All you need to do is keep up with the group ahead. Don't hold up anyone and no one will even realize what you're doing. Well, your friends will realize what you've done the next time they play with you and your typical troublesome shots are hit crisp and clean!
