Think TLH 07: Discovering New Species and University Research with Dr. Tom Sawicki
Recently, Dr. Tom Sawicki, an Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Assistant Professor at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University, and his colleague, Environmental Microbiologist Associate Professor, Richard Long, made a groundbreaking discovery of a new underwater species. Dr. Sawicki has been able to share his discoveries and experiences in elite journals, as well as with the students and faculty at FAMU. What started out as a new opportunity and warmer weather turned into a place Dr. Sawicki and his family calls home.
