TPS #26 - Spaanse pretparkoorlog - Port Aventura: het Universal/Busch Gardens antwoord op Euro Disney
In onze driedelige reeks praten wij met Robbin van Seeking The Thrill over de Spaanse pretparkloorlog. Met de komst van PortAventura veranderde het Spaanse pretparkland ingrijpend. In een aantal jaar tijd opende maar liefst 4 grote pretparkresorts met grootste belofte's. Miljoenen bezoekers zouden naar Spanje afreizen om in het Orlando van Europa terecht te komen. Universal Studios, Disney, Paramount, Busch Gardens en Merlin hebben allemaal geschiedenis rondom de Spaanse Costa's. Hoe zit dan dan precies en wat vinden wij nu nog van deze enorme belofte's.
In deel 2 praten wij over de zeer boeiende, lange en lastige geschiedenis rondom dit pretparkresort in Salou. Met wellicht het enige pretparkresort ter wereld dat eigendom is geweest van vrijwel alle grote pretparknamen. Hoe zit dat nu precies?
