Victoria Head, director of healthcare and Nicola Jones, senior project manager both from Gleeds join us to share their experiences from the moment they took the call to scale up through to the delivery of Covid-19 wards.
They talk through the emotions, the challenges, the timeframes and the key learnings from being involved in such a huge undertaking.

The eighth episode of The Word explores placemaking and its role in shaping communities. Covid-19 lockdown made us hyper-local and detail-observant – daily walks around our local streets, rather ghostly closed off townscapes, parks and green spaces have become a lifeline for many.
We are joined by Louise Wyman, Strategic Director of Growth and Development at Manchester City Council and Head of Placecrafting at the Built Environment Communications Group, Eddie McAtominey, together they discuss how as a nation our use of places has changed as a result of the pandemic and how we have perhaps found a new sense of community as a result of the hyper-local focus.

Join us as we catch up with Louise Hetherington from Atkins Global and Helen Ensor from Insall architect. We hear from them both on their experience on the 'coronacoaster', how they juggled work and home demands on thier time and brain power, the mechanisms they use for supporting colleagues with their mental wellbeing during this period and a look ahead at how the workplace evolution that has been kickstarted by the virus could play out.

Sandi Rhys Jones, Women in Property Mentoring Lead and member of Professional Mentor Academy is joined by Eva Mills, Director, Hydrock Consultants Ltd and Sam McCabe, Senior Associate, Oberlanders Architects to discuss the positive impact mentoring has had on them and their careers.
The three women explore “mentoring in a time of Covid” and how this uncertainty raises the importance of maintaining and building confidence, relationships, self-belief and dynamism.
