We join both Candice Craig and Tracey Kopenhaver, from a large telehealth organization to discuss the in's and out's of E-ICU nursing. We first deep dive in to both person's background and experience. Then go into learning what E-ICU nursing is, how it helps both the nurse and the organization, what helps and what hinders, how assessments are done, even some very neat tricks that E-ICU's can do! Candice Craig is certified as a CCRN and has her Diploma from Schuylkill Health School of Nursing, her Bachelor's of Nursing from Penn State University and will soon have a combined Master's in Nurse Administration and Master's of Business Administration from Bloomsburg University. She has experience in neuroscience critical care, heart and vascular critical care, clinical coordination and an RN of an E-ICU. She currently serves as an Administrative Team Coordinator for a large telehealth unit.
Tracey Kopenhaver is certified as a CCRN-K and NE-BC. She has both her Bachelor's and Master's of Nursing from Mansfield University. Tracey has experience in mixed critical care nursing, travel nursing, a cath lab, a team coordinator, clinical coordinator and educator of an E-ICU, nurse manager for a large tele-health system. She is currently an Operations Manager for a large E-ICU and CICU.
