The Speak Real Podcast

On this week's episode of the Speak Real Podcast, we were joined by Varinder Kaur Paul who speaks with Shivani Gupta, who is a Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist. In this conversation they discuss emotional and mental trauma/abuse/neglect, that is often overlooked, as well as the stigma of mental health in the South Asian community and the part parent-child relationships play in this picture. Both Varinder and Shivani share their personal experiences and empowering support tools for those listening!  

We want to share one-on-one conversations from our youth speakers on their journey through topics on mental health and wellness. These are their personal stories and ways they've overcome various obstacles in their lives. The Speak Real Podcast will be sharing vulnerable and open conversations between youth every Thursday. We want to help youth to find their voices and empower themselves through the power of their narrative!
