In today's episode, Alex and Matt give an update on their business, the future of real estate with tech companies like Zillow and Redfin, talk about how Teifke Real Estate is differentiating themselves to stay unique from other brokerages and discuss where real estate is now vs a year and a half ago when prices in the Round Rock, TX area were much different.
In 2019, you could still find homes for sale in Austin and Round Rock, TX for under $200,000. Now, the median price for a home in Williamson County is $441,000 according to the latest stats from the Austin Board of Realtors in August 2021. Matt met with a fellow real estate broker to discuss the future of real estate, specifically, the buyer's agents' and broker's commission. They predict that in the next 2 years, the buyer's agent's commission will change from 3% to 1%. According to his friend, the Seattle market is already experiencing this change in commission.
