Personal Stylist, Jane Mow, is nothing short of a wardrobe wizard. She has a thirst for style with over a decade of experience spanning high-end fashion editorials, runway, music videos, TV, print advertising and more.

But what you might not know about Jane is that she originally enrolled in law school of all places. However, it wasn’t long before she realised she was in the wrong field and found her true passion for fashion. Since then, Jane has enjoyed a highly successful career lending her creative eye to various fashion brands including the luxury sleepwear label Willa & Mae.

Nowadays, Jane has taken control of her future and brings her wealth of experience into styling and sourcing exclusive pieces for her clients. Jane joins me on this special episode of the podcast for my ‘Before You’re Ready Series,’ where she talks about how she started her personal stylist business and why you shouldn’t be afraid to follow your dreams…even if that means you need to start before you think you’re ready.

We chatted about:

  • How Jane went from law school to pursuing her passion for fashion
  • Times throughout Jane’s career where she seized opportunities that she didn’t feel ready for
  • Why you shouldn’t be afraid to start before you’re ready
  • Tips to improve productivity and reduce the temptation to procrastinate
  • How to make sure you focus on things that will help move your business forward
  • How your style and appearance can impact your personal brand and self-confidence
  • Why every woman needs a ‘power blazer’
  • Why you should build a personal style that reflects you and your brand
  • Why you should dress for the job you want, not the job you have

‘A Girl in Progress’ is available as a podcast on our website and as a video interview series on our YouTube channel–so make sure to subscribe to both to keep up with new episodes!
