Tonight’s guest is author Christopher Kolakowski. Chris in addition to being a five-time author is also the director of the Wisconsin Veterans Museum in Madison, Wisconsin. During his lifetime he also served brilliantly at other distinguished historical museums such as the Douglas MacArthur memorial in Norfolk, VA, and the General George Patton Museum and Center for Leadership at Fort Knox, KY.
Last Saturday September 17th marked the 160th anniversary of the Battle of Antietam, one of the bloodiest battles in the Civil War. Tonight Chris and I will discuss the highlights and key historical aspects of that battle.
Chris Kolakowski is eminently qualified to discuss the significance of the Battle of Antietam because in 2016 he released his book “The Union’s Great Crisis: the Fall of 1862” which discusses this battle.
