Tonight’s guest is author Clayton Trutor. Clayton hales from Vermont and holds a Ph.D in U.S. History at Boston College. He presently teaches at Norwich University and is the state chairman of the Society of Baseball Research Vermont chapter. He has written several bios for SABR as well as articles and research topics for the society.
On February 1, next year his first book “Loserville: How Professional Sports remade Atlanta –and How Atlanta remade Professional Sports” will be released to the world. It is a chronicle of how the City Atlanta attracted first two sports franchises in Major League Baseball and NFL football; followed in the years to come by an NBA franchise and on two occasions an NHL hockey franchise. Trutor covers the ecstasies and the agonies these franchises brought to the capitol of the New South.
