Tonight’s guest is author Patricia Bryan.
Patricia hales from North Carolina and is a distinguished professor of law at the University of North Carolina.
For decades Patricia has had a splendid legal career in private practice and in American Legal academe where she has earned awards for teaching. She has also published several acclaimed articles in the Stanford Law Review and the Annals of Iowa.
In 2005 she and her husband author Thomas Wolf published “Midnight Assassin: A Murder in America’s Heartland” a real life murder mystery where she and her husband examine the murder of Iowa farmer John Hossack.
“Midnight Assassin” was praised by USA Today as being “An engrossing real-life whodunit”.
But the book is more than a murder mystery it is also a thoughtful examination of the harshness of life in the American heartland and how women lived and endured during the turn of the 20th century as well.
