The Pulse of Modern Medicine: Interview with NIH's Dr Anthony Fauci
As part of our Smithsonian Associates Art of Living series, we have the first in our “Pulse of Modern Medicine: Insights from NIH Experts,” programs.
This is a five part program designed to provide a unique glimpse into the efforts of the NIH. We’ll learn from NIH scientific and medical experts about what is currently “hot” in biomedical research, the science behind it, and most importantly, what it means to our health, the medical treatment we receive, today and in the future.
We’re joined today by Dr Anthony Fauci.
While many in our Not Old Better Show audience will know Dr Fauci, many Americans may never have heard of him, but his work affects tens of millions of people.
Dr Fauci is considered the United States top doctor when it comes to infectious diseases. He leads the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases team at the United States National Institutes of Health. There, Dr Fauci and his team investigate emerging diseases like Zika and Ebola. And, Dr Fauci also leads research into diseases HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria and allergies.
Dr. Fauci likes talking about science to the general public in a way they can understand, and in a way they can understand why it is important to support it. Welcome, Dr Anthony Fauci to The Not Old Better Show.
Enjoy.
