#180: Ariel Garten — Co-founder of Muse: The Brain Sensing Headband, Meditation Practice, Kill Your Inner Critic, and More (repost)

This episode was first aired in March 2021. I choose to repost this since it got great traction and would be an opportunity for those listeners who either missed it the first time or want to relisten to it.

Ariel Garten is a neuroscientist, innovator, and entrepreneur whose driving purpose is to empower and help others overcome mental obstacles in order to live healthy, happy lives and reach their maximum potential. Garten is co-founder of  Muse: the brain sensing headband. Muse is the award-winning wearable technology that assists and trains meditation and mindfulness. Before founding Muse, Ariel was not only trained as a neuroscientist and psychotherapist but also started her own international clothing line while she worked in labs researching Parkinson’s disease and hippocampal neurogenesis.  Ariel’s fascination with the interconnections between science, neuroscience, emotion, and design, stems from her unique background in psychotherapy, neuroscience, design, and fashion.

In this conversation, Ariel talks about her creative process, spirituality and consciousness, meditation practice, unconditional love from her mom, and much more. She also guides us through an inner critic exercise to cultivate more self-love and self-worth. Please enjoy this wide-ranging conversation with Ariel.
