If you want to make money, you need to know how to sell.
But for a lot of us, our image of a salesperson is not a good one. I was pleased to be able to have Alison Edgar on the podcast so that we could talk over what ethical sales really looks like and how to sell to different personalities in a way that suits them all.
We also explore the ethics of those large self development and business training workshops with charismatic speakers on stage, encouraging participants to run to the back of the room and buy as soon as they can.
So if you are an entrepreneur or thinking of setting up your own business and will need to sell your idea/product at some point, then this episode is for you.
Nicknamed ‘The Entrepreneur’s Godmother’, Alison Edgar has been instrumental in the growth of some of the worlds’ best-known companies including Dragons Den and Apprentice Winners. She knows what it takes to transform a company from zero to a multi-million-pound turnover.
Twice voted one of the UK’s Top Ten Business Advisers, and an author of an Amazon #1 best-selling and WHSmith Top Ten. Alison is regularly featured on BBC TV, as well as working with Downing Street and The Royal Family.
