The Forge: Where Iron really sharpens Iron and we forge Men of Steel
Humility. Man, this is a subject that I needed some work in. However, I’ve learned that biblical humility isn’t the same humility as what the world says it is. The world says humility is low self-esteem, a soft disposition, lack of ambition and a conscience effort to downplay our success and accomplishments. These aren’t spiritual maturity, these are insecurity. Biblical humility is simply putting others’ needs and interests above our own. The path of humility doesn’t always pay off immediately. It’s not something we do for short term game, it’s a long game. It’s something we do because God says to do it, whether it works out in our favor or not.
