DeShuna graduated at Jackson State University and started her career in journalism before she became a Halcyon Incubator Fellow, a Vocal Fellow and a Google NextGen Policy Leader. Amongst her many accomplishments, DeShuna was also the first place winner of the 2017 Harvard Business School African Business Conference Pitch Competition and in this episode we talk to her about her about KweliTV, attracting investors for your company and her transition from journalism to creating a streaming platform that celebrates diverse communities.
