One of the main reasons we don't tap in the moment is because we are so lost in the emotions that we are feeling that we don't remember tapping is something we can do.
There are other times when we are in the moment, we remember to tap, but we still don't do it because we don't know where to start. In these moments the emotional response is so strong we can't describe what is going on. We can't find the words to describe the root cause and we aren't thinking clearly enough to come up with a reframe for the situation.
Because we can't find an entry point to tapping, we simple don't do it.
