Welcome to another episode of Stories Of Strength, a podcast series where we share personal and inspirational tales that redefine strength, brought to you by MuscleTech! This week Jay Cardiello got the chance to speak with a truly inspirational young woman who is turning her passion and childhood dream into a reality. Meet nineteen-year-old Alyssa Carson.
She is the youngest person to graduate from the Advanced Space Academy and Advanced PoSSUM Academy, which officially certifies her to go to space and become an astronaut trainee.
Ever since she was a child, Alyssa has been fascinated by space and the stars above, constantly asking questions even as a toddler. Hear first hand the journey of how she discovered a love of space and a little bit about the people who helped her along the way. Being the only person to have attended every single space camp offered throughout the United States and the world, Alyssa’s story is quite remarkable.
From being a brand ambassador for Gap to speaking at NASA's Mars Exploration Rover Mission (MER) 10 panel at just twelve years old, she has become an icon and a role model for young women everywhere. She is an example to pursue your dreams, never stop believing and reach for the stars. Listen as Alyssa discusses her future plans and her goal of one day making the journey and traveling to Mars to become the first person to walk the surface of the red planet. Not to mention we get to hear about the training and certification that goes into being able to achieve such a feat in this day and age. So what are you waiting for? Hit play and get ready for an exciting episode of Stories Of Strength, presented by MuscleTech. You do not want to miss it!
