Let's have a spiritual conversation about finding your joy and purpose. Two things we hear a lot about in motivational messaging - but what does it really mean for us in our day to day lives, and how do we find it? Personally, I believe it is much more important to LIVE your purpose than to define it, and that we experience true joy through that process. Go deep with me into this topic as we weave the experiences of winter and restraint (symbolically expressed in the Catholic observation of Lent and the Baha'i Fast) followed by spring and renewal (Easter and the Baha'i New Year, known as Naw-Ruz) and how this rhythm of simplification and new growth can support us in finding joy and living our purpose.
Here is the quote from Rainer Maria Rilke:
“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.”
