Reverie True Crime

Clare Wood was a gentle, caring soul. She was a mother, a daughter, a sister and friend. Clare met a man online and thought she wanted to marry him. Not long after she was making arrangements for the wedding, she caught him texting other women and having at least four affairs with women online. When she tried to break up with him, things took a dark turn. She contacted police many times. She even asked them if he had a history of violence but they couldn’t disclose that information to her which contributed to her horrifying death.

Eventually, her father started campaigning for Clare’s Law but before it was implemented, more women died by the hands of their abusers. This series takes a look at a few women’s stories and how Clare’s Law could’ve helped them if it had been made a law or policy faster.

In the last episode I’ll explain Clare’s Law, how many countries have applied the policy or versions of it and how many people it’s helped.
