PWC has the distinction of being the only municipal utility company in North Carolina to own and operate a power plant. The Butler-Warner Generation Plant (BWGP) was originally built to protect PWC customers from incurring high peaking power costs. Ace May, Powerplant Manager, joined us in "The Bucket" to discuss operating and maintaining the plant, as well as the significance of the power supply contract.
