Gregg Marcel Dixon is running for election to the U.S. House to represent South Carolina's 6th Congressional District. He recently debated The Grio's, Michael Harriot over an article he published entitled "Top 10 reasons why lineage-based reparations is a bad plan." Mr. Dixon, masterfully, goes into withering detail on how a race-based justice claim for reparations would not hold up Constitutionally in the courts and why how making race the basis would be ineffective at addressing the legacy of chattel slavery in America and unfair in that it would provide those who are not heirs of that legacy restitution they do not need and are not owed to them.
Every person who descends from American slavery who sees the value in Gregg Dixon's message and cause SHOULD donate to his campaign. As Dr. John Henrick Clarke so eloquently put it, a people who do not protect their advocates will have no advocates.
