The Harris Factor: and the Women Inspired to Run, a Salon That Inspires

About The Host:

Terri Broussard Williams believes that leaders turn moments into movements. She also believes that anyone can be a great leader. Terri explains that movements can be as big as passing a law, building a church, or starting a nonprofit. They can also be as small as giving to someone in need, showing kindness, or helping students at a school get gym equipment.

This podcast is here to help you with the HOW and WHY people build movements. Terri breaks it down each time using the #FirestarterFormula which is: find your cause, build a community to help, communicate your vision, and work to see change. In each episode of this podcast, we’ll take a look at one of the four pillars of the #MovementMakerTribe including philanthropy, policy change, movement-building, and the movement from within.

This episode of Movement Maker: The Podcast is a special Salon That Inspires, a segment that focuses on changemakers in the world, current events, and a skill that can be taught. Released just in time for the 2020 presidential election. As the vice president-elect, Kamala Harris has set an example for all women. Terri interviews three women that are feeling inspired to run for office and have taken action steps towards their goal. Amy has created a special program to help women channel their #fire, and help them to cultivate the skills and tools needed to run for office. Tune in to learn more about the LBJ Women’s Campaign School, and Rachel and Tina’s exciting experience at this very campaign school on the night that Kamala Harris was announced vice president-elect, and maybe even spark a #fire within to run for office yourself.
