9. Married with a baby within a year, splitting up & Army to Navy Wife
Mel met her Military guy online and after a few months they went on their first date. The next day he left town with the Army to take part in the clean-up following the Brisbane floods and Mel didn't know when she would see him again.
Once he returned they knew they wanted to be together and within a year were pregnant, engaged, married and her Husband was deployed to Afghanistan. In this episode I talk to Mel about what happened when he got back from deployment, the breakdown of their marriage and how they both had to go away and work on their mental health before coming back together 2 years after splitting.
A few postings later, a change over from Army to Navy and today they are better than ever and as Mel describes "are rolling with the punches."
PLEASE NOTE: Our name has changed from Navy Wife Life to Military Wife Life on socials but it will take a little time to swap things over on the podcast. So for this week we are still NWL but hope to have everything sorted very soon.
