#176 - Olympic sprinter Florence Griffith Joyner's brief life was but stellar. Her 100 and 200 meter records in 1988 still hold today! That alone is remarkable, but her history is also one that I wanted to give homage to this week. She broke open many barriers, including the one that said women can't be athletes and also be true their own selves. Throughout her short running career, she paved her own way, never following, never imitating. And always, with that contagious, beautiful smile.
