Chiropractor & Lifestyle Practice Builders Podcast Host Haley Day, DC talks about how she was able to graduate with significantly less student loan debt and enough money to start a practice.
Haley grew up in an entrepreneurial family. She was a determined kid who always wanted to have her own business. While researching top business colleges her senior year of high-school, she found one perched above the Pacific ocean, and applied. It was the only application she mailed in, and four years later she graduated from Pepperdine University with a degree in Business.
While at Pepperdine she worked for a Chiropractor in Malibu, which was where she first learned about Chiropractic and the details of running a chiropractic office. After graduation, she moved back to Kansas and interviewed with several different advertising agencies in the area, but no one she met with seemed to enjoy their job. She decided the cubicle life wasn’t for her, and went back into waitressing, like she had been doing while in high school. It wasn’t glamorous, but it got her back into business, sales, and customer relations.
Over the next few years she transitioned to working in the kitchen, and going to culinary school, but ultimately decided that wasn’t for her either.
She wanted something more, and she stumbled back into Chiropractic. She took one class at a time for a while, decided it was the path for her, and the rest is history….
Today, she practices part-time, manages Great Day Chiropractic in Kansas City, and most things Lifestyle Practice Builders - co-host of the Lifestyle Practice Builders podcast, co-author of the ChiroPlanner, and co-creator of The Foundation membership for chiropractors and The ROF System Masterclass for Chiropractors. She spends a lot of time online helping out students, new graduates, and practicing Chiropractors as they transition into creating, operating, and building practices of their own!
Today Haley shares the best tips for getting through chiropractic school with less debt and more savings. Find more information and download your own Savings Checklist and Budget Worksheet at the Lifestyle Practice Builders website, and make a plan for your future success.
