Eastern European Christmas Traditions Staged as Kolyada at the Cedar Cultural Center this Sunday
Kolyada, the Ukrainian word for Christmas carol, is the title of a performance by musicians representing such local groups as Orkestar Bez Ime and Mila Vocal Ensemble. Kolyada creates a narrative of Christmas traditions of countries around the Black Sea. It will be performed at the Cedar Cultural Center in Minneapolis, Sunday Dec 15 at 7PM. Phil Nusbaum talked with Colleen Bertsch and Natalie Nowytski about the production.
