Big O – Mr. IntheBlack Born in Nigeria and raised in Maryland, Big O is a real-life African Prince with an opinion about everything. His love of spicy food is matched only by his love of spicy conversation. In 2016, he took an idea for a lighthearted show about Black issues discussed by Black men and made it a reality when he launched the In the Black Podcast. He’s never looked back. IT professional by day, Big O is an expert troubleshooter (and troublemaker) and gadget fiend. He has appeared on “Woke with Kids”, “The University College”, and “The Conversation", and also co-hosts The Blerdverse. When he’s not providing witty commentary on all things Black, Blerd, and political, or fine-tuning his photography skills, he is a devoted husband and father. Phil - The Orange Krush The son of two immigrant parents, Phil - The Orange Krush has lived in Maryland all of his life; from going to Bowie State, and later Howard University, to settling into his first home with his wife Valery in Prince George’s County. Phil has always been a writer and later expanded his creative pursuits into music production. Along the way, he’s been a witness to, and at times a part of, truly significant cultural moments for Black people in America. Phil started a podcast in 2016 with Big O centered around their ‘blerdier’ interests. With the launch of “In The Black”, he also found another outlet to collaborate with his Brother-from-another-Mother and a safe space to look at the world critically, and a bit sarcastically.
