Mares and geldings, ovarian manipulation and gelding scar manipulation, myth or fact? Both of these seem to be two different sides of the same coin. On the other hand we have geldings that undergo a traumatic surgery that results in potentially harmful scar tissue developing. If you ask Facebook, everyone will yell from the roof tops, that some type of manipulation is necessary. But what does the research say? Do these conditions actually exist and are these viable solutions to help our horses?
