Today’s practice is the second in the Chakra Healing Series. A new series of meditations for us to take a journey together through the chakras to uncover healing and wholeness. Finding where we feel stuck and welcoming movement and freedom into our minds, bodies and life. In today’s practice, we will focus on the 2nd chakra, the sacral chakra. Any time we feel stuck or rigid, this meditation can reawaken our emotional intelligence and assist us in finding flow and ease once more. Signs our second chakra is blocked: we get lost in fantasies, excessive indulging and addictive behavior, we feel a lack of fulfillment, we experience negative and destructive emotions and codependent behavior. As well as a blockage in our creative flow. (writers block)
The chakras are energy centers that correspond to nerve bundles and major organs. Each chakra is like a spinning wheel, collecting the energy from below it and raising it higher until it is caught by the next chakra and circulated. When all chakras are open and flowing we experience health and well being. But our emotions, stress and tension from everyday life can block this natural flow of energy. Just like we need to clean our external world, our house, our body. We also need to attend to our internal cleanliness, meaning our emotions and our energy. So today’s practice is like a spring clean for our inner world, focusing today on the second chakra, the sacral chakra.
