Going In Circles

On tonight’s Big Monday show we start out asking for prayers 🙏🏻 for our friend, horseman Mike Recio who is seriously ill. We then recap last weekend’s stakes action starting with Maracuja’s upset of Malathaat in the CCA Oaks at Saratoga. Also talk about Royal Flag’s impressive Shuvee score and where she ranks in the older dirt filly hierarchy. We touched on Caravel’s big win in the Caress, where she goes from here and the odd and confusing circumstance that led to Jakarta running for purse money only. Also discussed United’s Eddie Read and his chances in this years Del Mar Breeders Cup against the so far this years dominant European invaders. The second segment started out with Baffert/Vitality/ NYRA due process procedures as the topic and morphed into a discussion on lasix, horses going on and off and how to possibly make bleeder info accessible. We looked ahead to this weekends big races, The Curlin, Jim Dandy, Honorable Miss, Bowling Green, Vanderbilt and Sunday’s rematch of Jackie’s Warrior and Drain the Clock in the Amsterdam.
