On today’s Big Monday Show we discuss the impact that weather is having on racing in the Midwest, especially with Oaklawn Park announcing another weekend missed due to unusually strong winter storms. With the Southwest being pushed back again, we talked about potential solutions for OP regarding the timing of the Rebel and Arkansas Derby and how tight the schedules are for horses originally pointing for the Southwest. We also talked about horses stretching out in distance and why a horse fading in sprints can be dangerous in a route race. Also got Barry’s thoughts on last Saturday’s Risen Star and El Camino Real stakes and potential Derby horses exiting those two preps. No picks were given! (For those who monitor such things)
