You know, when I was building my business as a health coach, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. Whenever someone said “sales” or “business development,” I instantly thought, “I don’t know what that is.” But with time, I learned that business development is all about relationships, and you know what? Relationships are at the center of our health and well being. So if you are already good at having genuine relationships with people, you might have a knack for business development as a lawyer or as an entrepreneur or both. But of course, if I had someone help me out and give me some pointers when I was completely lost, I would have made strides way more quickly. Lucky for us, today, Deb Feder, a lawyer turned business development coach for lawyers and small business owners, talks us through step by step (1) the biggest mistakes we make building our book of business and (2) what to do instead. I’m telling you, the small tweaks that she suggests in this episode can transform your business, and in turn, your mental and professional health.
