#117 - Terug naar De Grote Wetering
Op 25 februari 1978 wordt De Grote Wetering gekraakt, een karakteristiek pand aan de Weteringschans in Amsterdam, recht tegenover het Rijksmuseum. Overal in Nederland staan kantoorgebouwen en huizen leeg, terwijl betaalbare woonruimte nauwelijks voorhanden is. 45 jaar later lijken we weer terug bij af. Jongeren gaan de straat op om te protesteren tegen speculatie en woningnood, er wordt weer gekraakt. Op 2 december 1980, na bijna 3 jaar actievoeren en procederen, wordt De Grote Wetering ontruimd voor sloop en nieuwbouw voor kantoren en luxe appartementen.
Programmamaker Sandra Rottenberg maakt samen met fotograaf Servaas Tullemans een portret van het kraakpand aan de hand van de herinneringen van de toenmalige bewoners en andere betrokkenen.
