Disney fans rejoice! Listen as I chat with Tania Norris who worked with WED Enterprises (now Walt Disney Imagineering) back in 1964. This means that she worked right alongside Walt Disney. Tania is most famously known as the designer of the iconic purple wallpaper in the Haunted Mansion, but she was originally hired to help with the design and decorating of New Orleans Square, followed by Club 33. As part of her job, she found herself on an epic research trip that took her from the real New Orleans, to some swamp land in Florida long before it was Walt Disney World, and the New York World’s Fair. Plus, Tania quite literally had a hand in one of my personal favorite attractions, Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress. That and so much more on this episode.
