In TV and movie news, we start with our streaming releases for the week. Plenty of Christmas movies to go around! The Mortal Kombat reboot decides to play chicken with the pandemic. Disney is bringing back Lilo & Stitch for a live action film and Darkwing Duck on Disney Plus. Constantine, Bloodshot, and A Quiet place all seem to be getting another chapter in the franchises. CBS wants to bring back manimals with a show based on The Island of Dr. Moreau. Dwayne Johnson wants to revive The Scorpion King with Universal. Cortana voice actor returns for the Showtime series. Peacemaker adds to the cast for HBO Max and Sylvester Stallone joins The Suicide Squad. CW brings Wonder Girl to the small screen. Mads Mikkelsen is rumored to replace Johnny Depp for The Fantastic Beasts franchise. Millie Bobbie Brown go all in with another Netflix movie called Damsel while Space Force was renewed for season 2. Meanwhile, Netflix is planning to create a live feed channel for subscribers that can't make a decision of what to watch. Wonder Woman 1984 could end up on HBO Max in January!? Zack Snyder adds 4 minutes to his cut of Justice League. Apple TV sets up a new series with Christopher Walken. Wandavision lands an official date and Star Lord could be in Thor Love and Thunder. Jessica played a game of chess with The Queen's Gambit on Netflix. Steven gave his due date for the Hulu movie, Delivered and we both talk about Get Duked on Amazon Prime.
In gaming, we have a few releases this week. Capcom was hacked and may have revealed release dates for some up coming games. Bethesda is hiring to work on a new IP. Ghost of Tsushima sets a record for PlayStation, while the DualSense controller gets Steam access, but most importantly will the PS5 get a web browser? Xbox didn't launch without some issues, particularly dealing with the disc drive. Fortnite adds Marvel's Venom to the roster. Call of Duty Warzone gets a next gen update and private matches while Black Ops Cold War has a glitch on PS5. Sony has some struggles with issues on the new PlayStation 5 launch, including bricking, USB errors, and slow transfers. We finish the show with our reviews on Bright Memory for the Xbox Series X and Astro's Playroom on the PlayStation 5.
