John Eberhart, a Michigan resident, has been hunting the Michigan deer woods for 53 years. He has 30 bucks in the Michigan record books that John says were taken from 19 different properties in 10 different counties. John prefers the public land hunts and the door knocking method to hunt on new pieces of land that are privately owned. He's been on 21 out of state hunts and has take 19 Pope and Young bucks on 13 different properties in 5 different states. As you can see, John gets around. How does he do it so effectively? Well, first, John is a skilled woodsman, but beyond that, John says his key to success is his saddle hunting apparatus, once known as the tree sling. By popular demand, we listened to our listeners, and we are dedicating this episode to tree harness saddle hunting and John is the perfect hunter to explain this technique. Notepad required.
