CULINARY SCHOOL AFFILIATION: Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, NY

BIO: Chef Maureen Choate has been in the culinary field for over 40 years, having worked in restaurants, hotels, cooperate dining, assisted living, nursing home, personal & private chef, and has been a culinary instructor for 15 years. 

Chef Choate graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park New York in 1983 with an Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts and went back to school in 2013 to pursue a Bachelors degree in Culinary Arts from the New England Culinary Institute, which she received in 2014.

A member of the American Culinary Federation since 1988, Chef Choate is also a Certified Chef de Cuisine (CCC) as well as a Certified Proctor and Instructor for Servsafe since obtaining her ServSafe Manager’s Certificate in 2007. Her most recent credential is that of Foodservice Management Professional (FMP) from the National Restaurant Association which she earned in 2016.  

Chef Choate is currently a chef instructor at Lincoln Technical School where she has taught since January 2007.
