Today, Michael Ioffe is the co-founder and CEO of Arist, a state-of-the-art text message learning platform trusted by Fortune 500 companies like DuPont. Just over 2 years ago, Michael first witnessed how effective text message learning could be for teaching kids, even when those kids were living in a Yemeni conflict zone. Back at Babson, in his sophomore year dorm, Michael met Ryan Laverty, who'd spent time teaching entrepreneurship in Tanzania. After bringing on Ryan's childhood friend Joe as CTO, the trio built Arist, a Y Combinator S20 company undergoing rapid growth.
