Radio, television, and cartoon character actor Hans Conried sat for an interview with Dick Bertel and Ed Corcoran for their Hartford, CT-based WTIC "Golden Age of Radio" program in August of 1971. During the interview Dick Bertel asked Hans Conreid what caused the death of the American radio drama. To their surprise, he explained that it was the major networks of NBC, CBS, and ABC that killed radio drama.
