Hong Kong is a global exporter: mainly of gold, machinery, and watches; but also of cultural stuff - Cantopop, gangster films, news about the protests. One item that we do not export lots, is books. A pin-drop of Hong Kong literature has been translated into English.
We want to fix this. Each week, we take one Hong Kong book. We’ll read it, dissect it, and hopefully get you joining in, by reading alongside us. To help, we’ll be interviewing local authors, hearing about their lives, inspirations, and writing habits. Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/timothy-petkovic/support
